Tournaments won't work on XIII believe me, not in the way it is now. Not playing tournaments at least.

Edit by Chris: Stop insulting.
PS: Does this happen to be your second account, Tails?

It seems there won't be a GIAO in 2009.

I dunno if Mr.Bas or someone else is really going to host a new GIAO, but if yes it won't be in 2009, as there was already one this year. New one would be rather around march.

Organizing a tournament like GIAO is nothing comparing it to other tournaments at other games.
You could organize it in a week.
I guess the number and behaviour of the participians is the main problem

Aren't you contradicting yourself a few times?

Well, as I didn't play this game for a while I have no idea how many players are out there and I can hardly say a concrete number of players that might sign up.

But it will highly depend on the marketing of the tournament.
Last GIAO had so many participants, because HellFire and Blizzard asked quite many people personally in msn if they wanna participate in the tournament. You have to actively promote the tournament, because many will not "dare" to sign up, if nobody offers them the participation and asks them personally.
It would also be useful to make some advertisement in-game, as (like rusher already noticed) not everyone is visiting inXIII nowadays.

Nevertheless the chances are very very small that we would get as many participants as for GIAO 09, but still it's definitely enough.
30 would be fine aswell, you could make 4 rounds out of it, as long as at least 1-2 of each group shows up to his match so you can at least give someone a free go to the next round.

Why not calling again several people on msn?
Also people who aren't playing anymore?
Maybe they are interested at Giao.
Maybe we get the game little more active, maybe they stard to train, who knows?

I think inactive people e. g. Poddels, or Bel( to satisfy his ego) or other are interesred?

I suggest someone to make a poll to define which map could fit to the GIAO 09. so the people could begin to train, and as the training grows the people come and come and register. no?
